Introduction

I have the feeling that I'm going to really like this game. My lovely wife tells me she can spot 4 good reasons. I tell her bunny ears aren't it.

There are many millions of Final Fantasy fans through the world. I first got the bug when I was asked to review "Final Fantasy VII" for the PC. Before this time, I had never even touched a console RPG.

I fell swiftly and completely in love. I finished the game, went out and bought my first console - a Playstation - and played it again. Then I went and found an old Super Nintendo and the rest is history.

Now, Square-Enix has unveiled Final Fantasy 12. As always, new story, new characters - and now, a totally new way of fighting. Gone is the turn based or even phase based battles, gone are random battles where enemies would just "appear" from nowhere. Now, you see everything. You can instruct your characters what to do without having to micro-manage them.

Along with this new system comes new challenges. So that's why we've written this guide - and you can too! This wiki is for everyone to contribute to. If you see a mistake, click "Edit" and fix it. Have some information that can make a difficult quest easier? Put it in!

Most of this guide is written by John Hummel, but don't let his sheer animal magnitism scare you off. In the meantime, put on your best suit, because we're going to a wedding! That should be a happy occasion, right?
